CAN ANABOLIC STEROIDS REDUCE APPETITE?

Yes, of course they can, and there are 2 main factors responsible for reduced appetite during the use of AAS.

1. Toxicity – AAS in general, without exception, slightly increase appetite, but if the dose is too high and there is acute or chronic toxicity, appetite begins to decrease. All AAS are toxic for the body, even testosterone, because it also has to be metabolised and excreted by the body.

2. Ulcerogenicity of AAS – androgens are ulcerogenic (they increase the risk of gastric ulcers) and increase the susceptibility of the gastric mucosa to the peptic action of gastric juice, which means they increase gastric juice production and impair mucosal regeneration. This is why many of you suffer from reflux during AAS use.
